Media Bias
I've experienced media bias first hand in my job, but Michelle Malkin's experience on Hardball is beyond belief... it would be hilarious, if it wasn't such a sorry indictment of the media's failure to report the news in a balanced way...
This is pretty blatant, but the bigger story of media bias is becoming more evident in this campaign cycle. The media bias comes through in the stories they do not report. For example, the Washington Post covered the SwiftVets accusations on page 19, but then attempt to discredit a member of the group on page 1. Still other important, counter-view stories aren't covered at all. This is particularly true on stories that counter the media viewpoint. They compare the number of jobs lost under the recession under Bush to the number under previous presidents completely ignoring the increase in the number of working individuals. The unemployment rate during the last recessionary cycle was nowhere near as high as it was during the previous two recessions, but the media doesn't mention that.
Much more than coloring the news (which the NYT & WP do clearly in some of their 'news' stories) ignoring news counter to their worldview is one reasons blogs are so important...
